Waze Navigation & Live Traffic

App is unusable on CarPlay now. The map goes blank if you interact with anything.

Overall, this app is awesome. Where I run into problems is when it insists on taking me on a route that I have specifically chosen not to take. There have been numerous times I deliberately chose not to take a certain highway route and instead picked one of the other routes and it still sent me on that route. anyway. If I pick a route that is the one this app needs to use, not the one IT wants to use. And my settings are not set for highways only. So it's not a settings issue.

With the latest update, it seems to have some pretty serious issues about 70% of the time the map no longer shows on my screen, when it does, it doesn’t stay centered. Also come on Google. It’s been years had along my route, searching for Christ sake.

Brilliant! I love this app. With all the traps (speed, red light, police) that is out there, I'm very much grateful for the warnings. Not only can it save someone from a ticket BUT it also can prevent accidents if everyone uses it. When a driver doesn't follow the rules, it effects everyone on the road including them. I also love the ability to personalize the voice. I use my children's voices and won't change. I just wish I can edit the saved voices.

Worked pretty well until the latest update, even if it always had its issues. Since the latest update (as always, for unmentioned minor bugs/tweaks) it nearly always has a blank screen for the map and won’t show any alternate route options, even after restarting the app. I do not understand how a giant company like Google can fail at testing so badly that they don’t notice that kind of issue. I doubly don’t understand how it’s now a week + later (going on two?) and it hasn’t been fixed. If it’s hard to pin down, revert back to the last update. Completely boggles my mind how you screw this up so badly and it’s extremely annoying. Maybe their goal is to get everyone over to Google Maps or something. Well if so it’s working pretty well. Literally unusable right now.

I use this app every day. it's great to keep tabs on traffic incidents. I'm not loving how you now have to speak when you see an incident. In both of my Subaru's, it is very clumsy and half the time I don't get to report the incident. I know hands free is supposed to be safer, but for me, it's more distracting trying to get it to work, than it used to be with two quick screen touches.

Waze always gets me where I’m going and gives me a heads up on accidents, police, etc.

Just recently installed to see if it is better than Google Maps. 1.5 weeks in and what I do like is that it give you more advanced notice ahead of lane changes so that you can get into the correct lane. It even notified me of intersections with red light & speed cameras to ensure you are going the proper speed. What I don't like in comparison to the Google Maps is that I can get a good street view of the destination and the roundabout directions I got from Waze.

I really enjoy using this app. However, only 4☆ b/c on 2 separate occasions, right in the middle of driving to a location, it just reset itself and stopped giving me the rest of the directions! and if you don't realize it, you're gonna keep driving waiting to hear the next turn or exit. So that was very annoying, not to mention inconvenient.

This app is not safe. It’s not compatible with my vehicle’s CarPlay. When checking for other routes, the map disappears. App leaves you unable to determine your location and where to go.

Switched to Waze from Google Maps for about 4 months until I finally confirmed that Waze is far more inferior. It doesn't have the capacity for reliable road updates. Had to drive an extra 25 kilometers because Waze did not register that there are multiple road closures in a given route. And With gas prices staying high, not driving those extra kms are crucial for saving gas. only upside I can see is that you get customization options for the voice guide, which, even that, needs some work.

overall this app does a good job navigating but recent trips or looking for a location like stre locations is lacking because it doesn't include any details on each location such as the town or street. you have to take a guess and it's always hit and miss. It needs to show more details like when there are multiple locations under same store name so you can find a particular location without looking at the map or keep clicking on different ones on the list.

Great app!

I love this app. features are great, I use it everyday. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't offer trucker routes. there is a huge market for trucker GPS. And the only real alternative is Trucker Path which is an insane like $30 per month. If they were able to add trucking routes, Even if they did something like a one-time $20 fee in order to access that feature, I would be willing to pay it.

I love and hate waze. up until a couple of weeks ago it was fine, then all out of nowhere the notifications for turns, etc didn't come up until you needed to turn. This wasn't just for me, it was for my friends and family who were also using the app. We cleared the cache, forced stopped the app, made sure it was updated checked forums, nothing helped. the app was recently updated atound the same time, which makes us think it was the update that caused the issue.

I like the posted speed feature and my traveling speed feature so I know what the speed limit, where I live at the speeds can drastically change. I also like the warning feature and the ability to notify others of traffic, hazards, traffic congestions, weather conditions and the like. I wish there was a feature that could adjust the sound volume on the notifications so that they were lower than radio volume. Audible notifications are off, so loud.
